Hello Flourishing Friends,  This time of year—late summer sliding into fall—naturally invites change. The weather is inviting, the pace of life shifts: kids head back to school, days grow shorter, and we feel the subtle pull toward new routines.

 

It’s the perfect time to set new goals. Here’s why:

  1. Seasonal energy supports momentum. Just as nature begins to turn over, our brains and nervous systems are wired to respond to cycles of change. That little spark of “newness” helps us adapt and create fresh habits.

  2. You have space before the holiday rush. When we wait until January, the shorter days and in-climate weather can tug on our desire to conserve energy and hunker down, but if we start now we can have patterns established that can take us through the holiday season and winter season with more stability.

  3. Small changes stick best during transitions. Neuroscience shows that when life is already shifting (like the change of season or schedule), the brain is actually more open to rewiring and learning new habits.

     

So instead of waiting for the “right time” or a new calendar year, why not lean into the energy of this season? Ask yourself:
