1. How do I know if you're the right Chiropractor for me?

Eudaimonia is all about Human Flourishing, it is NOT about diagnosing and treating conditions.

This practice is about so much more than back and neck pain; it is about a chiropractic lifestyle. A chiropractic lifestyle is one in which you are aware every day that your body is on your side, and is capable of adapting, growing and healing, as long as there is no interference. It is living with a nervous system that is clear and primed for whatever life throws at you, so you can be resilient, and experience flow and ease! At Eudaimonia, the people have the power, not the pain! You do not have to have symptoms to precede your adjustment.

We will be focused on optimization, reaching new goals, integrating stress and building resilience! Not always on the pesky symptoms!

If you are willing to show up, make lifestyle changes and work in partnership towards a sustainable change for the better, then I think we will make an amazing team.

If you are open to understanding your body as a whole, and not just as a machine then I believe I can do a lot to serve you.

Eudaimonia is designed to help you become more resilient, more optimal, and less stressed and dysfunctional. It is a modern office with online scheduling and records, so if you like the convenience of being able to book online, then that is another perk!

2. Why don't you bill Insurance or Accept Medicare Patients?

Since the Eudaimonia is so affordable (honestly, less than your average gym membership or what you pay for coffee?!) there is no more need to hassle with insurance! I want you to have the freedom to seek the care that will benefit you the most, based on my professional recommendation and based on your specific goals and individual life circumstances, not based on what an insurance company that has never met you or heard your story limits you to.

Also, as we are about prevention and wellness, it is not deemed "Medically Necessary" so Medicare does not cover any of my services. Medicare forces Chiropractors to be Enrolled (Vetted by them) in order to see ANYONE who uses their insurance, but being Enrolled would limit my ability to give any discounts to anyone, Medicare or not, so for that reason I have opted to remain Un-Enrolled.

Your care and flourishing are my priorities, not hassling with Insurance companies. I will continue to keep my eyes open about how to make care more accessible to more people.

3. Are you going to crack my neck?

For most people I do utilize Diversified Cervical Adjustments (the crack) and I have seen the videos on YouTube that make it look so scary! Please believe that that is NOT what I will do. My adjusting style is all about removing dis-ease by increasing the amount of ease in any given system and there is never any muscling or forcing. I practice many different techniques to make you as comfortable as possible, while still getting the best results.

And remember, the crack is simply a noise! Adjustment (or manipulation) of a joint may result in the release of a gas bubble between the joints, which makes a popping sound. The same thing occurs when you “crack” your knuckles. The noise is caused by the change of pressure within the joint, which results in gas bubbles being released. There is usually minimal, if any, discomfort involved.

4. Why do you ask so many questions on intake?

The Initial Intake Appointment is VERY important to me, and should be for you as well. I see it as the start of a healthcare relationship and the foundation for your journey through chiropractic. I want to make sure I have time to understand exactly where you are in your wellness, what your goals are and the best plan of action for you moving forward. Having you come back another time for your report of findings and second adjustment keeps anyone from feeling put on the spot, and we can actually make sure that we are a great fit for each other. No matter what, you will end up with a comprehensive care plan, whether you use me to see it through or not. It is the time where we can establish trust in one another and that is so important to me.

5. Is chiropractic safe for kids, or during pregnancy?

Yes, children benefit hugely from chiropractic care. Children are growing, developing, learning, forming patterns and increasing their motor skills very rapidly! All things controlled by the nervous system, which Chiropractors are looking at.

The same applies to pregnant women! You are going through a lot of rapid changes and physically demanding changes at that! Chiropractic is very safe and effective for both children and pregnant women. It's all natural!

Chiropractic care is always adapted to the individual patient. It is a highly skilled treatment, and specific care and precautions are used when working with these populations

6. If I'm sick with a cold or flu should I come to my appointment?

Though regular chiropractic care has been shown to have a positive effect on the immune system, you may on occasion still get sick. Generally, getting adjusted can help you feel better sooner, help your tissues get more oxygen and heal faster than going un-adjusted. That is why I still recommend that patients keep their appointments when they are not feeling well. Please follow this protocol if you are feeling under the weather and have an appointment:

1) Call, Text or Email Dr. Evelyn to let her know your symptoms.

2) If possible, schedule your visit at the end of the day or shift to minimize cross contamination and leave time for airing out the space.

3) Wear face covering and wash your hands before entering the office.

4) Please wait outside the office until other patients have been able to exit.

Of course if you are having a medical emergency, please seek Immediate Medical Attention
